Obituary of Rita Valls

Rita L. Valls, 84, of Mount Pocono, died on Wednesday, April 23, 2014, at her home. She was the loving wife of the late Arthur Valls. Born in Jersey City, N.J., she was the daughter of the late Rocco and Carrie (Rota) Cuozzo. Before her retirement, Rita worked as a retail supervisor for Sears. She was of the Catholic faith. She is survived by her daughter, Donna Hansen and her husband, Raymond, of Mount Pocono; six grandchildren: Raymond Hansen Jr., Thomas Caputo, Charles Pierson, Kristen Hansen, Kasi-Anne Calhoun and Alyxes Hansen; and her great-grandchildren: Anthony, Aaron, Brenden, Christian, Kristopher, Patrick, Noah, Madison and Alyvia. Rita was preceded in death by her daughter, Patricia Pierson. There will be a viewing from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, April 25, at Bolock Funeral Home & Crematory, 6148 Paradise Valley Road, Cresco. The Rev. Gregory Loughney will conduct a blessing service at 8:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Cremation is entrusted to Bolock Funeral Home & Crematory.
