Obituary of Dario Belardi

Dario J. Belardi, Jr., of Swiftwater, died unexpectedly on Friday, April 25, 2014 at his home. He was the loving fiance of Dee Bartholomew. Born in Port Jervis, N.Y., he was the son of Barbara (Henzes) Belardi and the late Dario Belardi, Sr. He was the co-owner and operator of Pocono Limousine Company located in Mount Pocono and a member of the Pocono Community Church. Dario was a kind soul with a generous heart who devoted much of his life to helping others. He regularly contributed both his money and time to local organizations including the Make a Wish Foundation, United Way, American Red Cross, Deveraux Foundation and to Women's Resources. He spent his spare time relaxing by fishing and spending time with his family, especially his children whom he adored. In addition to his mother and fiance, he is survived by his children: Brandon Belardi, Austin Belardi and Casey Belardi; his children's mother and close friend: Brenda Belardi; a sister, Lisa Ambrose and her husband Mark; niece: Emma Ambrose and nephew Mark Ambrose, Jr. There will be a viewing from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 29, and from 10 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday April 30, at Bolock Funeral Home, 6148 Paradise Valley Road, Cresco. There will be a funeral service at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at St. John's Cemetery in Jessup. In lieu flowers, an education trust fund has been set up for Dario's children at NBT Bank located in Mount Pocono.
