Obituary of David Peters

David R. Peters, 72, of Tobyhanna, died on Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at his home. Born in Franklin, ME, he was the loving son of the late Raymond and Ruth (Jones) Peters. Dave enjoyed fishing and enjoyed spending time outdoors. He was an avid painter and painted right up until the time of his death. He was dedicated to the Lord and faithfully served in churches where he lived. He loved teaching and taught Sunday school for many years. Most recently he attended Innovation Church in Cresco, PA. He is survived by his sons: Jonathan Peters and his wife, Dianne of Bear, DE; Jason Peters and his wife, Ana of Hockessin, DE; Joshua Peters and his wife, Elaine of Chesapeake City, MD; daughter: Heather Elgena and her husband, Dave of Landenberg; brother: Reverend Daniel Peters and his wife, Diane of Limerick; sister: Dee Peters of Crystal River, Fla.; 11 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. There will be a visitation from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Friday, May 9 at Limerick Chapel, 378 West Ridge Pike, Limerick. The Reverend Daniel Peters will conduct a memorial service at 7:30 p.m. Burial will be private.
