Obituary of Kenneth Ditmars

Kenneth O. Ditmars, 90, of Cresco, died on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at his home. He was the loving husband of Ruth (Borglum) Ditmars. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Kenneth and Bessie (Bates) Ditmars. He was a veteran of the United States Army and served during WWII. Kenneth worked as a certified public accountant for Deloitte & Touche for 36 years until his retirement. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Tannersville. In addition to his wife, Ruth he is survived by his sons: Paul Ditmars of Palmyra, N.J. and Kenneth Ditmars of Westampton, N.J.; his daughter: Dale Viernstein of Shawnee; his sister: Joan Schmitz of Sarasota, Fla.; his nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. There will be a viewing from 2 to 4 on Sunday, May 18, at Bolock Funeral Home, 6148 Paradise Valley Road, Cresco. Reverend Thomas Richard will conduct a funeral service at 4 at the funeral home. Cremation is entrusted to Bolock Funeral Home Crematory.
