Obituary of Jean Coffman

Jean M. Coffman, 88, of Cresco, died Tuesday, May 20, 2014, at home. She was the loving wife of the late R. Lloyd Coffman. Born in Waldwick, New Jersey, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Julia (Morgan) Van Dyke. Jean was a graduate of Ramsey High School and attended the Ridgewood Secretarial School in New Jersey. She worked for Pobar Enterprises as an office manager from 1974 until her retirement. Jean attended Paradise Valley Baptist Church. She is survived by her son, Warren Coffman and his wife, Alissen, of Cresco; her daughter, Beverly Dyson and her husband, James, of Cresco; her brother, Thomas Van Dyke Jr. of Shippensburg; her sister, Natalie Bither of Temecula, California; her grandchildren, Peter Dyson, Brittany O'Connor and Heather Coffman; and her great-grandchildren, Christopher and Riley O'Connor, and Nolan Dyson. There will be a viewing from noon to 1 p.m. Friday, May 23, at Paradise Valley Baptist Church, Koerner Road, Cresco. Pastor Eric Gustafson will conduct a funeral service at 1 p.m. at the church. Burial will follow at Keokee Cemetery.
