Obituary of Dorothy Peil

Dorothy L. Peil, 85, of Arrowhead Lake, passed into The Lords hands Sunday, May 25, 2014 at Geisinger Hospital in Wilkes-Barre due to a stoke suffered Friday May 23rd. She was the wife of Arthur S. Peil. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late William and Louise Caldwell. Dorothy was a loving wife and mother whose life centered around her family as well as her love of gardening, social interaction with her many friends and fellow ALCA members. She was a member of the Arrowhead Seniors and Thornhurst United Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir. In addition to her husband, Arthur, Dorothy is survived by her daughter: Susan Waddington and her husband, Kevin of Rydal; her son Gary Peil and his wife, Dede Long Peil of St. Simons, GA; three grandchildren: Michael and Lauren Gardner and Danielle Donovan; six great-grandchildren: Angelina Mason, Evan, Cooper, Travis, Quinn & Julian Donovan. She was preceded in death by her beloved granddaughter Rene Peil. Memorial Services will be held Saturday, May 31 at 11:00 am at the Thornhurst United Methodist Church, 342 Old River Rd, Thornhurst.
