Obituary of April Shafer

April L. Shafer, 57, of Pocono Lake, died on Monday, June 2, 2014 at her home. She was the beloved wife of Harry Shafer. Born in Cold Spring, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Leslie and Vertith Dawn (Anderson) Van Voorhis. April worked for Summit Motors in Pocono Lake as a notary, until her illness. In addition to her husband, Harry, she is survived by her children: Harry and Melissa Shafer of Pocono Lake; her sister: Vertith "Noni" Angle of Plato, Missouri; and her mother-in-law: Helen Shafer of Pocono Lake. There will be a visitation from 4 to 6 on Thursday, June 5, 2014, at Bolock Funeral Home, 6148 Paradise Valley Road, Cresco. Cremation has been entrusted to Bolock Funeral Home Crematory.
