Obituary of Joseph Girardi

Joseph P. Girardi, Jr., 71, of Mount Pocono, died on Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at the Pocono Medical Center in East Stroudsburg. Born in Englewood, NJ he was the son of the late Joseph and Margaret (Sinelli) Girardi, Sr. A proud veteran, Joseph served with the United States Army. After serving with the military, he began work as an assistant garage manager for Vince Lombardi until his retirement. Joseph was known for his keen sense of humor and his life of the party attitude. He had a love for Hockey, especially the NY Rangers and enjoyed eating out and visiting local casinos to press his luck, but most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by a daughter: Tammy Schultz and her husband Stephen of Mount Pocono; son: Bryan Girardi and his wife Jessica of Dumont, NJ; former wife and great friend: Lorraine Girardi of Sterling, PA; sister: Joanne Pandolfi and her husband Joseph of NJ; a brother: Anthony Girardi and his wife Susan of NJ; and four grandchildren: Kayla Girardi, Stephen Schultz, Jr., Alyssa Girardi and Ethan Girardi. He was preceded in death by a sister: Vicki Lynn Girardi. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Cremation is entrusted to the Bolock Funeral Home Crematory
