Obituary of Kyle Chang

Kyle Ronald Chang, 29, of Tobyhanna, died on Tuesday, July 1, 2014, at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. Born in Charlottesville, Virginia, he was the son of Ronald Chang and Caroline Bell-Chang. Kyle moved to the Poconos in 1991 with his mother and sister when he was 6 years old. In 2002, Kyle graduated from Pocono Mountain West High School, where he played football his senior year. He loved being a security guard and worked for Saw Creek Estates in Bushkill for many years. His last security position was at Breezewood Acres in Newfoundland. Kyle was born with a congenital heart defect that never slowed him down the first 26 years of his life until he became ill and was diagnosed with congestive heart failure in February 2011. In addition to his mother, Caroline, he is survived by his sister, Neukeyia R. Chang of West Orange, New Jersey; his uncle, Thomas L. Bell and his wife, Michele, of New Brunswick, New Jersey; his nephew, Troy Mathis Jr.; and his cousins, Bria and Amir Bell. There will be a viewing from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, July 6, at Bolock Funeral Home & Crematory, 6148 Paradise Valley Road, Cresco. The Rev. Rudolph Bolling will conduct a funeral service at 10 a.m. Monday, July 7, at 1 Living Hope Community Church, 36 Sterling Road, Newfoundland. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery, Newfoundland.
