Obituary of Laura Rhyne
Laura Therese Rhyne nee Moor, 73, of Buck Hill Falls, died on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest. She was the wife of the late Charles Edmond Rhyne, daughter of the late Laura Mae Moor nee Roberts, and the late Christopher M. Moor of Mumbles, Whales.
Laura was brought up in North Caldwell, NJ, product of the Caldwell School System and graduate of Endicott College and Boston University, Boston, MA.
She was a trader on Wall Street for a number of years, Hayden Stone, Auchincloss, Parker and Redpath, and then went into marketing and sales in the manufacturing field.
Laura moved to Buck Hill Falls full time in September 1990 and has resided there ever since. Prior to that, both Charles and Laura resided part-time in North Caldwell and Roseland, NJ. Laura was a greeter at the Church of St. Bernadette for many years as well as doing volunteer work for people in her community.
Charles was president of International Beecham Pharmaceutical, Latin America and passed away in 2002.
She leaves a sister, Kristin Moor Delaney and her husband, Robert of Blairstown, NJ; two nieces, Deborah M. Ryker of Dublin, VA, Jill T. Delaney of Blairstown, NJ; nephew, Robert Scott Delaney of Yarmouth, ME; and five great-nephews. Laura also leaves two step-children, Darla Rhyne Kisin of Canada, Becky Rhyne Rutherford of Glenmoore along with two grandchildren, Eugenia Kisin and her husband, Christopher Marchand of Canada and Alice W. Rutherford of CA.
There will be a viewing from 3 to 6 pm on Friday, August 15 at Bolock Funeral Home, 6148 Paradise Valley Road, Cresco. The Reverend Father Alfred Vito will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am Saturday, August 16 at the Church of St. Bernadette, Canadensis. Burial will follow and she will be laid to rest along side her husband, Charles, at Laurelwood Cemetery, Stroudsburg.
