Obituary of Jane Sharpless

Jane V. Sharpless, 73, of Pocono Lake, died on Wednesday, August 20, 2014 with her family by her side. She was the loving wife of Lewis Sharpless Jr., with whom she shared 28 years of marriage. Born in Pleasantville, N.J., she was the daughter of the late Rembert and Miriam (Mosher) Hann. She graduated from Swedesboro High School with the Class of 1959, held various secretarial jobs and retired to be a full time wife and Grandma. Jane took great pride in her garden, providing beautiful scenery for the many guests in their home, as their door was always open. She was known for her generosity, her smile, and her ability to come up with a song that matched any word or situation! In addition to her husband, Lew, she is survived by: her son Chris Pagliaro and his wife Rebecca, of Duncannon, PA; daughter Debbie Johannsen and her husband Eric, of Hamilton, NJ; brother Allan Hann of Atlanta, GA; stepchildren Erin Rollins and her husband Trevor, of Colbert, GA, and Lewis Sharpless III of Atlanta, GA; and eight grandchildren: Michael, Joseph, and Stephanie Pagliaro, Adam and Ally Johannsen, and Tucker, Simon, and Annie Rollins. As Janie was a breast cancer survivor, memorial donations may be made to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (http://www.bcrfcure.org/). In honor of her love for their two rescue dogs, Sasha and Sadie, donations can also be made to The Animal Welfare Society of Monroe (AWSOM) PO Box 13, Stroudsburg, PA 18360. Services will be announced at a later date. Cremation is entrusted to Bolock Funeral Home Crematory.
