Obituary of Antoinette Vlismas

Antoinette Vlismas, 83, of Henryville, died peacefully on Friday, August 22, 2014, at her home. She was the loving wife of Spiro Vlismas to whom she was married for 62 years. Born in Ischia, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Ciro and Maria (Monti) DiSpigno. Antoinette spent her adult years raising and caring for her family. She took on the greatest role of her life when became a devoted wife and loving mother. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness in East Stroudsburg, where she regularly practiced her faith. In addition to her husband, Spiro, she is survived by two daughters: Diana E. Vlismas of East Stroudsburg, Angela Hults and her husband Wally of Staten Island, NY; a sister: Josephine of Long Island; two grandsons: Jason and his wife Jennifer, Daniel; a granddaughter: Stephanie and her husband Joseph and four great grandchildren: Nicholas, Isabella, Christopher, and Anthony Spiro. She was preceded in death by two sisters: Lucy and Rita and a brother: Francis. There will be a viewing on Wednesday, August 27th from 10 am -12 noon at the Bolock Funeral Home, 6148 Paradise Valley Road, Cresco. Services will follow at 12 noon at the Funeral Home. Burial will take place at Prospect Cemetery, 501 Prospect St. East Stroudsburg, Pa.
