To my grandmother and the most wonderful person to ever touch my life. You will be missed in so many ways but I know every day that you are with me. I feel yours and grandpas love around me every day. Everything I do and decisions I make I always stop and think what would grandma want me to do! You were so strong and I only hope to be as strong as you someday. What I loved the most about you is that no matter what you were always there for us you always knew me better than anyone. I feel so lucky to be able to call you my grandma! One day we will see eachother again till then I will miss your sugars, hugs and voice! I love you Grandma! Love always your baby...Krista

Bert (As she was known to most of her brothers), you will be missed. Will remember the last time we all got together and visited you there in Pa. We all had a great time with you and Jack. I am sure it will stay in the memories of the brothers forever. All of our thoughts and prayers are with your family during this time and we all know that you are there with Jack and that's what we know makes you more happy and at peace then anything.

Bertha was a wonderful sister to me, and Jack was an extraordinary brother in law as well. They meant a great deal to me and my family. We will miss them dearly. Their children, grandchildren, and great grandchild have certainly been enriched by having had Bertha and Jack in their lives.

BERTHA, WAS MY FIRST COUSIN. WE WENT TO SCHOOL TOGETHER,AND GRADUATED IN 1955. WE SPEND A LOT OF TIME TOGETHER, AND HAD A LOT OF GOOD TIMES. I HAD TALKED TO BERTHA ABOUT A MONTH AND A HALF AGO. IF MY MENORY SERVES ME RIGHT. I TOLD HER THEN THAT I LOVED HER, NOT KNOWING IT WOULD BE THE LAST TIME I WOULD TALK TO HER. I HOPE TO SEE HER ON THE OTHER SIDE, IN HEAVEN ONE OF THESE DAYS. I STILL CAN'T BELIEVE SHE IS GONE. SHE WAS ONLY 4 MONTHS OLDER THAN ME. IT TOO BAD WE DRIFTED APART AFTER GRADUATION. I LOVED HER DEARLY. I DID SEE HER AND WAS AT HER HOUSE IN N.C. ONE TIME. MY SYMPTHANY GOES OUT TO YOU GIRLS. I WAS THE ONE THAT SENT HER THOSE PICTURES FROM OUT 50TH HIGH SCHOOL REUNION.MAY GOD BLESS EACH ONE OF YOU, MY LOVE, LILLIAN REYNOLDS MARTIN

Bertha was one of my best friends in grade school. I have a group picture of our 6th grade class. We were very close when we were young. I did lose touch with her after I moved to Virginia. I remember her as a very loving person. In fact, I will never forget her. Lillian had told me that she was very ill, I am so sorry about that. Life is hard enough without being sick all the time.Best Wishes to all of family.

I just read of Bertha's death. I am so sorry even though I haven't seen her for 53 years. We went to elementary and high school together, we graduated in 1955. I remember her being quiet. I grew up in Wilcoe so we rode the same school bus to school. She was a beautiful woman and I am sure she touched many lives in her work and life. Shelby

May God richly bless all of Bertha's family - you are in my thoughts and prayers for strength. My memories of Bertha are childhood memories - she was my best friend and even though we lost touch through the years, she was always my best friend - no one could replace the love I still have for her. She was a loving part of our family and made my childhood memories happy ones. Love and Blessings, Jean Brown

Bertha was my mentor for many years and I think of her often. She was a remarkable lady and a great friend. I looked to her for advice on many of life's journeys. Boy, did she love her family. She will be remembered at Kinder Care for years to come as a great leader. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.
