Obituary of Nancy Grives

Nancy Grives, 64, of Swifwater, died Friday, June 27 at Community Medical Center in Scranton. She was the wife of the late Charles P. Grives. Born in Far Rockaway, New York, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Ann (Hollman) Holden. Nancy was very dedicated to her family and her church, St. Mary of the Mount in Mt. Pocono. The family and friends she leaves behind will endeavor to fill their lives without her. She is survived by nine children, Karen A. Furler of Kunkletown, Christine M. Grives of Harrisburg, Michael D. Grives of Clarks Summit, Amy B. Frutchey of Tobyhanna, Kerry L. Thornton of Lynn Haven, FL, Jason C. Grives of Newfoundland, Jonathan D. Grives of Swiftwater, Nancy T. Grives of Swiftwater, and Ann-Marie E. Grives of Los Angeles, CA; two sisters, MaryAnn Lowenstein of Glen Allen, VA, Carole Marvelli of Baldwin, NY; a brother, Alan Holden of Kissimmee, FL; and eleven grandchildren. The Reverend Father David Bechtel will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 2, 2008 at St. Mary of the Mount Church in Mt. Pocono. Interment will follow at St. Catherine's Cemetery in Moscow. There will be a viewing on Tuesday, July 1 from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the Bolock Funeral Home, corner of routes 940 & 390 in Paradise Valley.
