Obituary of Helen Briglia
Helen A. Briglia, 75, of Pocono Summit, loving proud mother, left this life on a beautiful day, May 19, 2008. It was her time. She was the wife of the late Salvatore Briglia.
Born in Tuckhannock, she was the daughter of the late John and Frances (Suscavage) Gilroy. Before her retirement, she was employed as a supervisor at the Tobyhanna Army Depot.
She is survived by a son, Paul Briglia and his wife, Reda of Cresco; two daughters, Lorrie Gibson and her husband, Greg of Littleton, CO, Doreen Wilburn and her husband, Bob of Rockville, VA; a sister, Frances Dean and her husband, James of Scranton, eight grandchildren, Kolleen, Russell, Layne, Brooke, Allen, Angel, Gwen, and Connie; and eleven great grandchildren. She gave her family all her love and she thanks them for the love they gave to her.
There are many other people that Helen wanted to thank for their care and service to her: Her dear friends, Irma, Ed, Audrey, Jo, Junie, Tyler and his family, Dianne, Pat, Kay Kinsley, Josi and all the other wonderful people who helped her along the way.
Do not grieve long for her, but keep memories in your heart. Her zest for life and her compassion for all will be sadly missed. Helen requests that you remember her by planting a butterfly bush in her memory.
There will be a visitation on Thursday, May 22 at 10:30 a.m. at the Bolock Funeral Home in Paradise Valley. The Reverend Father Joseph Kopacz will conduct a Blessing Service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Cathedral Cemetery in Scranton.
