Obituary of Clair A. Tallada

Clair A. Tallada, Sr., 75, of Gilbert, passed away on Thursday, July 3 at the Monroe County VNA Hospice House in East Stroudsburg. He was the husband of Lila Mae (Ladlee) Tallada. Born in Tannersville, he was the son of Spencer Tallada Sr. and Sarah (Shively) Tallada. Before his retirement, Clair was a truck driver for Bruce Ecke Septic in Saylorsburg. He was a United States Army veteran, a member of the American Legion #927 in Gilbert, and a life-long resident of Monroe County. In addition to his wife, Lila Mae, he is survived by a son, Clair A. Tallada, Jr. of Minila, Phillipines; Cheryl Mumbauer and her husband, David of Delaware Water Gap, Kathy McGarvey and her husband, Dennis of Saylorsburg, Sharon Smith and her husband, Chris of Saylorsburg, Janet Tallada of Albrightsville; three brothers, Fred Tallada and his wife, Carol of Cresco, Royd Tallada and his wife, Jeanne of Stroudsburg, Spencer Tallada, Jr. and his wife, Sue of East Stroudsburg; five sisters, Genevieve Post of Mountainhome, Margaret Holmes of East Stroudsburg, Mary Dippre and her husband Ronald of Stroudsburg, Pauline Tallada of East Stroudsburg, Carol Jean Krock of Sciota; eight grandchildren, Rodney Tallada of Myrtle Beach, SC, Michael Keiper of Kresgeville, Shelby Trapani of Tarmac, FL, Daniel Keiper of Hamburg, NJ, Justin Keiper of Delaware Water Gap, Erica Albert of Bangor, Kelsey McGarvey of Saylorsburg, Jonathan Smith of Saylorsburg; nine great grandchildren; mother-in-law, Viva Ladlee of East Stroudsburg; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, James and George Tallada. Private services will be held at a later date. Cremation service was entrusted to the Bolock Funeral Home Crematory, corner of Routes 940 & 390 in Paradise Valley.
