Obituary of Marie E. Betham

Marie E. Betham, 82, of Pocono Summit, PA and formerly of Millsboro, DE, passed away on Thursday, August 7 at home. She was the wife of John Betham. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late John W. and Florence Johnson. She graduated from Girls High School and the Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia. Before her retirement, Marie was a secretary for the Pennsylvania School System. She was a member of the Community Lutheran Church in Frankford, DE. In addition to her husband, John, she is survived by a daughter, Janet Betham, also of Pocono Summit. Funeral services will be private. Interment will take place in the Arlington Cemetery in Delaware County, Pa. Cremation services were entrusted to the Bolock Funeral Home Crematory in Paradise Valley, PA Memorial donations may be made to the VNA Hospice of Monroe County, 502 Independence Road, East Stroudsburg, Pa. 18301
