Obituary of Edith Kipa

Edith D. (Miller) Kipa, 80, of Tobyhanna, died Saturday May 3 at the Pocono Medical Center in East Stroudsburg. She was the wife of the late Peter W. Kipa, Sr. Born in Daleville, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Madeline (Wardell) Miller. She was of the Methodist faith. She is survived by two sons: Peter W. Kipa, Jr., and his wife Iona of Bethlehem, Stanley Kipa and his wife, Lucinda of Tobyhanna; five daughters: Rosalie Hammock and her husband, Fred of Cumming, Ga, Sophia Swingle and her companion, Pete of Tobyhanna, Mary Miller of Tobyhanna, Linda Notz and her companion, Dennis of Lake Worth, Fl and Barbara Kazmarek and her husband, James of New Bethlehem; 13 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren. There will be a viewing on Wednesday, May 7 from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm at the Bolock Funeral Home, corner of Routes 940 and 390, Paradise Valley. The Reverend John Cordes will conduct a funeral service on Thursday, May 8 at 10:00 am at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst.
