Obituary of Jean Sorrentino

Jean E. Sorrentino, 69, of Mountainhome and formerly of Brooklyn, died on Friday, January 25 at University of Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia. She was the wife of the late Frank Sorrentino who passed away in 1998. Born in Brooklyn, she was the daughter of the late George Alfred and Elizabeth Festl. She was a resident of Mountainhome for the past ten years, before moving from Brooklyn, New York. She is survived by a son, Frank Sorrentino, Jr. of Mountainhome; three daughters, Victoria Sorrentino and Barbara Feig of Lake Lure, NC, Deborah Freeland of Mountainhome; one sister, Maria Mandala and her husband, George of Brevard, NC; three grandchildren, Jaclyn Jean Freeland, Frank Sorrentino III, Samantha Rose Sorrentino, all of Mountainhome; and four nephews, George, Peter, Christopher, and Timothy Mandala. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her grandmother, Maria Rehmann, infant daughter, Bernadette, and a nephew, John Mandala. There will be a viewing on Monday, January 28 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Bolock Funeral Home, corner of Routes 940 & 390 in Paradise Valley. A Blessing Service will take place at 8:00 p.m. Cremation is entrusted to the Bolock Funeral Home Crematory.
