Obituary of Irene Csokuly

Irene M.(Sakal) Csokuly passed away on April 23, 2009 in Easton, Pa. She was the wife of the late Steve K. Csokuly. Born in Lincoln Twp. on July 25, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Stephen J. and Mary (Szempias) Sakal. Irene was a lifelong member of St. Stephens Hungarian Catholic Church in McKeesport, Pa. and the Hungarian Club of McKeesport. She is survived by Daughter, Mary Byers and her husband Sam, Virginia Lapsley and her husband Tom, Evelyn Sistrunk and her husband, Hosea, Loretta Willis and her husband Darrel; foster daughters, Karen Bowling and her husband Bob, Dana Altmiller and her husband Pat, Rene Moran and her husband Jeff; 15 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and one great great grandson. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Stephen, and grandson, Elmore. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, June 27, 2009 at the Lutheran Church of Our Savior in North Huntingdon, Pa.
