Obituary of Georgina T. Jeramaz

Georgina T. Jeramaz died in peace on May 28, 2008 at the age of 91 at Holy Family Residence in Scranton, Pa. She was the daughter the late Tomas and Teresa (Boselli) Jeramaz. Georgina was a graduate of Mount St. Vincent's College in New York. Following the passing of her beloved mother, she spent the last thirty years of her life serving the Cloistered Carmelite Nuns of the Carmelite Monastery in Flemington, New Jersey as an extern. A major part of this extern ministry was performed while living at the Carmelite facility. Georgina was also very well known to the Little Sisters of the Poor as a result of their having a Retreat Home in the Flemington area. She moved to their Holy Family Scranton facility for the aging in 2000, and was a resident in the care of the Little Sisters of the Poor until her death. She was a devoted servant of the Lord, with deep devotion to the Catholic faith and the Lord's teachings. Daily Mass and prayer was a part of her life. She was a saint on earth, as she surely is in heaven now; a joy to be around, beaming with God's love. Her favorite goodbye was "May God Reward You", and that felt so good coming from her. She is survived by a nephew, Thomas L. Jeramaz of Avon, NJ; a sister-in-law, Elizabeth Jeramaz of Hopatcong, NJ; and an "adopted nephew", John M. Kane of Wilmington, NC; all of whom loved her beyond words. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 9 at the Holy Family Residence Chapel, Adams Avenue in Scranton. Interment will follow at the St. Magdalen Cemetery, 94 North Main Street in Flemington, NJ at approximately 3:30 PM.
