Obituary of Alexander Dombrowski
Alexander Dombrowski, 88, of Tobyhanna, died Wednesday, June 18, 2008. He was the husband of Eveline (Makowski) Dombrowski, to whom he was married for 65 years.
Born in Newark, New Jersey, he was the son of the late Stanley and Stella (Milecki) Dombrowski.
Alexander was employed in production for over 41 years at Union Carbide in Bound Brook, New Jersey. He served as an Army Paratrooper with the 503rd Regimental Combat Team during World War II in the South Pacific. He was a member Our Lady of Victory Church in Tannersville, the American Legion Wilson Fischer Post #413 in Pocono Lake, and the Tannersville Senior Citizens.
In addition to his wife, Eveline, he is survived by a son, Tom Dombrowski and his wife Frances of Somerville, NJ; a daughter, Susan Reigle and her husband, John of Leicester, NC; a brother, Peter Dombrowski of Bordentown, NJ; three sisters, Josephine O'Keefe of Trenton, NJ, Andrea Olney of West Palm Beach, FL, Elenore Grutkowski of Carbondale; five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
There will be a viewing on Friday, June 20 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the Bolock Funeral Home, corner of Routes 940 & 390 in Paradise Valley. The Reverend Father Richard Czachor will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 21 at Our Lady of Victory Church. Cremation to follow.
