Obituary of Shirley Mullin
Shirley L. Mullin, 79, of Henryville, died Thursday night, March 29, 2007 at the Pocono Medical Center in East Stroudsburg. She was the wife of the late John J. Mullin.
Born in Hazelton, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Sussanah (Cabey) Cressman. Shirley was educated in Hazelton Schools and was a crossing guard for the Hudson County, NJ Police for over 20 years. She was active in the American Legion Auxiliary, George Kemp Post in East Stroudsburg and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary in East Stroudsburg, as well as being an avid Bingo player throughout all of Monroe County. Shirley received a letter of appreciation from the U.S. Department of Treasury for selling One Million Dollars of War Bonds during World War II.
She is survived by three sons: Patrick J. Mullin and his wife Elizabeth of Henryville, Thomas Mullin and his wife Barbara of Chesapeake, VA, and John Mullin, Jr. and his wife Marguerite of Wind Gap; one daughter: Susanne Rego and her husband Edward of Brooksville, Fl,; one sister: Mildred Hughes of Pitman, NJ, six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
There will be a viewing from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, April 2 at the Bolock Funeral Home, corner of routes 940 & 390, Paradise Valley.
The Reverend Father John Boyle will conduct a prayer service at 8:00 pm on Monday, April 2 at the funeral home. Cremation will take place at the Bolock Funeral Home Crematory.
