Obituary of Thomas Dillon
Thomas M. Dillon, 82, of Mountainhome, passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2009 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley in Plains Township.
Born in Manhattan, New York, he was the son of the late Michael and Nora (Larkin) Dillon.
Before his retirement, Tom was employed in the Planning and Development Department for New York Telephone. A veteran of the United States Navy, he served as a Radioman in World War II and the Korean Conflict. Tom was a member St. Bernadette's Catholic Church in Canadensis.
He is survived by two sons, Terry Dillon of NY, NY, Gary Dillon of Sugarland, Texas; a daughter, Laurie Dillon of Sacramento, California; three brothers, John Dillon of Montana, Christopher Dillon of St. Augustine, Florida, James Dillon of NY, NY; three sisters, Ann Mortensen of Port St. Lucy, Florida, Eleanor Werner of Bonita Springs, Florida, Sheila Dillon of Oakdale, NY; three grandchildren; one great grandchild; several nieces and nephews; and a wonderful circle of friends in Mountainhome.
Graveside Services with military honors will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 23 at Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in Annville, Pa. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Barrett Paradise Friendly Library, RR1, Box 1010, Cresco, Pa. 18326
