Obituary of Theresa Leone

Theresa M. Leone, 87, of Mountainhome, died Sunday, June 8 at VNA Hospice of St. Luke's in Bethlehem. She was the widow of Joseph D. Leone who passed away in 1999. Born in Manhattan, NY, she was the daughter of the late Angelo & Antonia (Motta) Pellettiere. She attended Hunter College in New York City and was a longtime member of Our Lady of Visitation Catholic Church in Paramus, NJ. Theresa is survived by one son: Ronald A. Leone and his wife Patty of Annandale, NJ; one daughter: Rosanne A. Scheck and her husband Donald G. of Mountainhome; seven grandchildren: Tara Matthews and her husband Robert of Tampa, FL, Amy Dages and her husband Scott of Mountain Lakes, NJ, Katie Wiggins and her husband Michael of Sayreville, NJ, Megan Leone of Hoboken, NJ, Ronald P. Leone of Annandale, NJ, Anne Smith and her husband Gabriel of Hagerstown, MD and Caitlin Scheck of Mountainhome; four great grandchildren: Taylor and Kate Matthews and Laila and Victoria Dages; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters: Mary Ann Fiore and Angela Serafin and four brothers: Joseph, James, Michael and Prospero Pellettiere. There will be a viewing on Thursday, June 12 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm at the Bolock Funeral Home, corner of Routes 940 & 390, Paradise Valley. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 13 at 10:30 am at Our Lady of Visitation Catholic Church in Paramus, NJ. Interment will follow at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus, NJ. To honor Theresa's love for Promised Land State Park, the family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made payable to "PPFF" (Pennsylvania Parks and Forestry Foundation) with the notation "Theresa Leone Memorial" .
