Obituary of Arthur L. Reisenwitz

Arthur L. Reisenwitz, Jr., 86, of Mountainhome, died Monday, June 9 at Pocono Medical Center in East Stroudsburg. He was the husband of Edna (Heller) Reisenwitz. Born in Mountainhome, he was the son of the late Arthur L. and Ruth (Shaller) Reisenwitz. Arthur worked as a plumber for the Buck Hill Falls Company for 52 years. He was a founding member of the American Legion Evans-Blitz Post 922 in Canadensis and was recently honored for being a 61 year member of the Post. Arthur was a member of the Mountainhome United Methodist Church and was a lifelong resident of Monroe County. In addition to his wife Edna, Arthur is survived by one brother: John Reisenwitz and his wife Beverly of Mountainhome; two sisters: Sara Rode of Newington, CT and Barbara Dunlap and her husband Joseph of Mountainhome; one aunt: Glendora Shaller of Mountainhome; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister Catharine Vogt and his brother Paul Reisenwitz. The Reverend Barbara Housley will conduct a Memorial Service on Wednesday, June 11 at 11:00 am at the Mountainhome United Methodist Church in Mountainhome. There will be a calling hour from 10:00 am until the time of service. Cremation was entrusted to the Bolock Funeral Home Crematory.
