Obituary of Robert Falzon
Robert P. Falzon, 76, died Monday, May 14, 2007 at Pocono Medical Center in East Stroudsburg. He was the husband of Jean (Millman) Falzon.
Born in Astoria, New York, he was the son of the late Paul and Philomena (Bonavia) Falzon and grew up in Queens where he attained his Eagle Scout status. He graduated from Bishop Loughlin High School and Brooklyn College and received his graduate degrees from the New School of Social Research in New York.
Robert served as Director of Education at Greenwich Hospital in Greenwich, Connecticut. He was an adjunct faculty member at Northampton Community College. He was a psychotherapist at the Counseling Center of Barrett for fifteen years. Robert also worked as a management consultant for Fortune 500 companies.
He volunteered for the PA E.M.S., where he served as team leader for seven counties as a Critical Incident Stress Debriefer. Robert was a member of the Pocono Mountain Chamber of Commerce and the Barrett-Paradise Business Association. He was also a United States Army veteran.
In addition to his wife, Jean, he is survived by his three dogs, Corky, Sophie, and Rose. He is also survived by Tara Daniele of Cresco, who was like a daughter to him; three sisters, Lynn Scheuring and her husband Tom of Throggsneck, New York, Jean Coppa and her husband Bill of Brooklyn, New York; Susan Fried and her husband Nelson of Smithtown, New York; eight nieces and nephews Maria Elbert, Malissa Leipold, Paul Scheuring, Andrew Coppa, Allyson Gullo, Matthew Coppa, Jonathan Fried, Michael Fried and several great nieces and nephews.
There will be a viewing on Friday, May 18 from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the Bolock Funeral Home, corner of Routes 940 & 390 in Paradise Valley.
The Reverend Father William Farrugia will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, May 18 at St. Bernadette's Church in Canadensis. Cremation will follow the mass.
