Obituary of Elsie Abruzzo

Elsie Abruzzo, 95, of Canadensis, died Friday, March 9 at the VNA Hospice House in East Stroudsburg. She was the wife of the late Joseph Abruzzo. Born in Brooklyn, New York, she was the daughter of the late Andreas and Amelia (Sigwalt) Vetter. She is survived by a daughter, Margaret Abruzzo Oswald of Canadensis; Margaret's two sons, Joseph Oswald of Canadensis, Michael Oswald and his wife Marie-Elaine of New Jersey; fourteen additional grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Abruzzo and a son-in-law, Robert Oswald. There will be a viewing on Monday, March 12 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Bolock Funeral Home, corner of routes 940 & 390 in Paradise Valley. The Reverend Father David Cramer of St. Bernadette's Church will conduct a Blessing Service at 8:00 p.m. A private interment will take place on Tuesday at St. John's Cemetery, Middle Village, New York.
