Obituary of Patrick Mulrooney

Patrick Joseph Mulrooney, 74, of Cresco, died unexpectedly on Thursday, May 26 at Pocono Medical Center in East Stroudsburg. He was the husband of Maura (Spratt) Mulrooney. Born in Silgo, Ireland, he was the son of the late Edward and Agnes (Gallagher) Mulrooney. A bus driver by trade, Patrick moved to the United States in 1960. He retired in 1995 after driving school bus for the Pocono Mountain School District for 9 years. He was a member of Saint Bernadette's Catholic Church in Canadensis. In addition to his wife, Maura, he is survived by three sons, Oliver Mulrooney and his wife, Karan of Spring Hill, Florida, Eugene Mulrooney and his wife, Lisa of Allentown, Paul Mulrooney and his wife, Debra of Tannersville; a daughter, Maureen Muller and her husband, Warren of Overland Park, Kansas; eight grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Jim and Eamon Mulrooney. There will be a viewing from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 29 at the Bolock Funeral Home, Routes 940 & 390 in Paradise Valley. The Reverend Father Alfred Vito will conduct a prayer service at 3:00 p.m. Cremation will follow the service at the H.G. Smith Crematory in Stroudsburg.
