Obituary of Richard Torregrossa

Richard V. Torregrossa, 63, of Tobyhanna, passed away on Tuesday, December 28 at home. He was the husband of Patricia (Zieda) Torregrossa. Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of Frances (Williams) Kelly of Tobyhanna. A retired New York City Police Officer, Richard worked as a realtor in the Poconos for the last 30 years. He was founder of Remax of the Poconos, which is currently owned and operated by his son, Keith. He was a United States Navy veteran who served in the Vietnam War on the USS New Jersey. His memberships include the Monroe County Conservation Association, the Tobyhanna Conservation Association, the Pocono Mountain Association of Realtors, and the Monroe County Chamber of Commerce. In addition to his wife, Patricia, and his mother, Frances, he is survived by two sons, Keith Torregrossa and his wife Becca of Mt. Pocono, Kirk Torregrossa of Bar Harbor, ME; a sister, Lynne Foy and her husband, William of Linden, NJ; two grandchildren, Nicholas and Madison; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. There will be a viewing on Thursday, December 30 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Bolock Funeral Home, Rt. 940 in Cresco. A Blessing service will follow at 8:00 p.m. Cremation is entrusted to the Bolock Funeral Home Crematory.
