Obituary of Catherine Donohue

Catherine A. Donohue, 53, of Pocono Lake, died Thursday, May 12 at home. She was the wife of Patrick J. Donohue. Born July 22, 1951 in Yonkers, New York, she was the daughter of Patricia (Vanson) Forcelli of Pocono Lake and the late William Lawson. She was a graduate of Saint Denise Blessed Sacrament Academy and West Chester Community College. Prior to her illness, she was employed as a real estate agent with Jim Gravatt Realty of Pocono Pines, and worked for several years with Century 21 of Mt. Pocono. She was an owner, along with her husband, Patrick, of the Quick Shop in Mt. Pocono. Catherine was an active member of Our Lady of the Lake Church in Pocono Pines, where she maintained several leadership positions. In addition to her husband and mother, she is also survived by a daughter, Michelle Corvaia and her husband, Joseph of Fogelsville; two brothers, Raymond Lawson and his wife Loretta, of Ronkonkma, New York, William Lawson and his wife Marjorie, of Effort; two sisters, Karen Bosser and her husband William, of Moriches, New York, Danielle Mahler of Stroudsburg; three grandchildren, Alanna, Alexa and Devon Corvaia of Fogelsville; an uncle, Robert Keane of Yonkers, New York; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, William Lawson and her step-father, Daniel Forcelli. The Reverend Father John Boyle will conduct a Memorial Mass at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 16 at Our Lady of the Lake Church in Pocono Pines. There will be a calling hour from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to VNA Hospice of Monroe County, 502 Independence Rd., East Stroudsburg, Pa. 18301, in thanks of the wonderful care given to their loved one.
