Obituary of Jacqualyn Budney

Jacqualyn "Jackie" Budney, 67, of Pocono Summit, died Saturday, June 4, 2011in Scranton after a long illness. She was the wife of her loving husband Edward J. Budney for 47 years. Born in Quarryville, PA she was the daughter of Ceaser Hettler and the late Ruth (Oyler) Hettler. She worked as a communications specialist at the Tobyhanna Army Depot until her retirement 10 years ago. Jackie was a past member of the Pocono Summit Volunteer Fire Co. ladies auxiliary. She was an avid traveler who loved to RV, go on cruises, and spend her winters in Florida. She also enjoyed bingo, ceramics, and going to the casino. In addition to her husband, and father, she is also survived by her son; Richard Budney and his wife Kim of Scranton, daughter; Melissa Budney of Lancaster, a brother Marvin Hettler of Summit Hill, and four grandchildren; Kylie, Kirstin, Bryce and Connor. Father Greg Loughney will conduct a memorial service at 1:00pm on Thursday, June 9 at the Bolock Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. corner of Rts. 940 & 390 Cresco. There will be a visitation from 12:00 until the time of service at the funeral home.
