Obituary of Andrew Edward Barber

Andrew Edward Barber, 77, of Whiting, NJ formerly of Belmar and East Orange, NJ died Saturday, May 10th at Pocono Lutheran Village in East Stroudsburg. Born in Woodside, Queens, NY, he was the son of the late Andrew J. and Edna (McGuinness) Barber. Andrew was a U.S. Marine who served during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Elks Post 0196 and VFW Post 4715, both in Point Pleasant, NJ. Andrew is survived by two daughters: Beth Barber of Weehawken, NJ and Holly Core and her husband Richard of Canadensis; one brother: Richard Barber and his wife Joan on Myrtle Beach, S.C.; two grandchildren: Raven and Griffin Core of Canadensis; several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 17 at 3:00 p.m. off the coast of Belmar, NJ. Cremation was entrusted to the Bolock Funeral Home Crematory. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the VNA Hospice of Monroe County, 502 Independence Road, East Stroudsburg, Pa 18301.
