Obituary of James Irving

James R. Irving, Jr., 76, of Scranton, formerly of Pocono Summit died Friday, January 18 at his home in Scranton. Born in Perth Amboy, NJ, he was the son of the late James R. Sr. and Frances (O'Donnell) Irving. He retired from GATX Corporation, where he worked for 30 years, and served as a former president of the Eastern OCAW. James served in the U.S. Army and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Mt. Pocono Memorial B. Gregory Krummel Post 3448. James is survived by his one son: James Irving and his wife Judy of Cresco; one daughter: Jennifer Denisac and her husband Michael of Clearwater, Fl; one sister: Mary Kelleman of Carteret, NJ; and four grandchildren: Alex and Eddie Irving of Cresco and Alex and Scott Creutz of Clearwater, Fl. There will be a memorial service on Thursday January 24 at 8:00 p.m. at the Bolock Funeral Home, corner of routes 940 & 390, Paradise Valley. Friends and family may call from 7:00 pm until the time of service at the funeral home. Cremation was entrusted to the Bolock Funeral Home Crematory.
