Obituary of Audrey Solimine

Audrey J. Solimine, 82, of Tobyhanna and Winter Haven, Florida, died Saturday, January 26 in Scranton. She was the wife of the late William Solimine, who passed away in 2002. Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Jack and Emma (Walters) Amendt. She was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School. Before her retirement, she was an executive secretary for Westinghouse in New Jersey for over 30 years. She was a member of the Mt. Pocono United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Women's Club at Pocono Farms. Audrey volunteered her time with Meals on Wheels and ushering at the Pocono Playhouse in Mountainhome. She also had a love of auctions and going out to lunch and dinner with family and friends. In addition to her sister Lois Long of Clarks Summit, her survivors include many close family members; nephew, Frank Valvano of Tunkhannock and his wife Pam, great nieces, Leah and Abby; Niece, Bonnie Salyers of Tobyhanna, great niece, Kim Salyers, great nephews, Robert Caprioli and Ryan Caprioli and his wife Sharon, great great nephews, Nathaniel and Ethan, great great niece, Jordan; Niece, Beth LaCoe of Scranton, grat niece, Emily; Niece, Jacqueline Allen of Pocono Summit and her husband Richard, great nephew, Richard Jr., great niece, Paige; sister-in-law, Betty Amendt of Indiana, niece, Camie; and many other sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces, great nieces, and great nephews. There will be a viewing on Wednesday, January 30 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Bolock Funeral Home, corner of Routes 940 & 390 in Paradise Valley. A funeral service will take place on Thursday, January 31 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Park in Elmhurst.
