Obituary of Catherine Aalbue

Catherine "Kay" T. Aalbue, 74, of Tobyhanna, passed away on Wednesday, April 30 at the VNA Hospice House of Monroe County in East Stroudsburg. She was the wife of Edward Aalbue. Born in Brooklyn, New York, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Catherine (Correge) Dooley. Before her retirement, Kay was employed as a secretary for the McLaughlin & Sons Funeral Home in Brooklyn, New York. She was a member of St. Ann's Church in Tobyhanna. In addition to her husband, Ed, she is survived by a son, John Aalbue of Tobyhanna; and a brother, Francis Dooley of Staten Island, NY. In addition to her parents, Catherine was preceded in death by a son, Edward Gerard Aalbue (1983), a brother, Joseph Dooley, Jr. and a sister, Mary Labombard. The Reverend Father Richard Ghezzi will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, May 5 at St. Ann's Church in Tobyhanna. Interment will take place at 11:15 a.m. on Tuesday, May 6 at Holy Cross Cemetery in Brooklyn. There will be a viewing on Sunday, May 4 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Bolock Funeral Home, corner of Routes 940 & 39 in Paradise Valley.
