Obituary of Constantine Zazakos

Constantine Zazakos, 90, formerly of Tobyhanna, died Friday, March 13, 2009 at Pleasant Valley Manor in Hamilton Township. He was the husband of the late Carmela (Durso) Zazakos. Born in Bridgeport, Connecticut, he was the son of the late Peter and Kerosto (Sideros) Zazakos. In 1984 Constantine moved to the Poconos from Staten Island, where retired as a custodian at New York City schools. He was a member of the Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church in Stroudsburg. He is survived by a daughter, Elaine Zazakos of Cresco; and a grandson, Jason Ruby of Brooklyn, NY. In addition to his wife, Carmela, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Rosemary Ruby. There will be a viewing on Sunday, March 15 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Bolock Funeral Home, corner of Routes 940 & 390 in Paradise Valley. The Reverend Father Theodore Petrides will conduct a Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 16 at Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church, 135 Stokes Avenue in Stroudsburg. Interment will follow at Prospect Cemetery in East Stroudsburg.
