Obituary of Peter Flood

Peter J. Flood, 36, of Paradise Township, died Saturday, November 5 from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. Born in East Stroudsburg on November 12, 1968, he was the son of Maryellen (Shawiry) Flood and the late John C. Flood. A 1986 graduate of Pocono Central Catholic High School, Peter studied culinary arts at Paul Smith College in Lake Placid, New York. He was well known in the community as the owner of Landworks in Paradise Valley. Pete's house was always open to family and friends. In addition to his mother, Mary Ellen and her companion, Thomas Palumbo of Philadelphia, he is survived by a brother, Michael Flood of Paradise Valley and Boynton Beach, Florida; his fiance, Terry Daniels and her son, Hunter of Barrett Township; his aunts, Susan Anthony of Scotch Plains, New Jersey, Lois J. Flood of Paradise Township and Brooklyn, New York, Margaret "Dee Dee" (Flood) Dross of Sun City Center, Florida; his uncles, Thomas Shawiry of Pocono Township and Kevin P. Flood of Jacksonville, Florida; cousins, Stephen Anthony of Grand Junction, Colorado, David Anthony of Wheaton, Illinois, Charles A. Dross of Paradise Township, Jennifer (Dross) Major of Barrett Township, Michelle Flood and Lorraine Flood, both of New York, New York; and many friends. Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, November 8 at Saint Mary of the Mount Church, Fairview Avenue in Mt. Pocono with Monsignor Arthur Kaschenbach as celebrant. Interment will follow at Keokee Chapel Cemetery in Paradise Valley. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the library at Monsignor McHugh Elementary School, RR1, Box 1780, Cresco, Pa. 18326
