Obituary of Vera Alogna

Vera Alogna, 71, of Pocono Lake, died Thursday August 4 at home. She was the wife of Ignazio Alogna. Born in Brooklyn, NY she was the daughter of the late Joseph Pernice and Rose (Triolio) Pernice. She attended of Our Lady of the Lake Church in Pocono Pines. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sons, Michael Alogna of Brooklyn, NY, Joseph Alogna of Brooklyn, NY and Anthony Alogna of Pocono Lake, two brothers, Joseph Pernice of Brooklyn, NY and Gasper Pernice of Florida and two grandchildren. A graveside funeral service will be held at the St. Charles Cemetery in Middle Village, NY on Saturday August 6 at 11:30 am. Burial will follow the service. There will be viewing on Friday, August 5 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the Bolock Funeral Home, Inc., corner of Routes 940 & 390 in Paradise Valley.
