Obituary of Flower Musgrove

Flower Musgrove, 69, of Wilkes-Barre and formerly of Swiftwater, passed away on Wednesday, January 7 at Hazleton General Hospital. She was the wife of Robert F. Musgrove. Born in Nanticoke, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Shelmerdine) Valentine. She graduated from Little Flower Catholic High School for Girls in Philadelphia. Flower was a secretary at the Pocono Mountain High School in the 1970's and 80's. She was a former member of St. Mary of the Mount Catholic Church in Mt. Pocono and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Pocono Mountain Fire Co. In addition to her husband, Robert, she is survived by a son, Robert J. Musgrove of Tobyhanna; two daughters, Deborah Wheelis and her husband Paul of Henryville, Elizabeth Musgrove of Allentown; two sisters, Betty Balabuch of Camden, NJ and Marian Valentine of Stroudsburg; and three grandchildren, Ashley, Jennifer, and Melissa Wheelis all of Henryville. There will be viewings on Monday, January 12 from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. and on Tuesday, January 13 from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. at the Bolock Funeral Home, corner of routes 940 & 390 in Paradise Valley. The Reverend Father Joseph Kopacz will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 13 at St. Mary of the Mount Catholic Church in Mt. Pocono. Interment will follow at St. Paul's Cemetery in Swiftwater. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Flower's name to the Little Flower Catholic High School for Girls, 1000 West Lycoming Street, Philadelphia, Pa. 19140-2199
