Obituary of Henry Taylor

Henry A. Taylor, 79, of Mountainhome, died Thursday, January 5, 2006 at Pocono Medical Center. Henry was employed at Skytop Lodge, but over the years had been employed at many of the Pocono resorts and businesses. Henry was the unofficial "Mayor" of Mountainhome. On most days, he could be seen walking around town visiting his many friends at the businesses and shops in Barrett Township. Henry might also be sighted on his way to Stroudsburg in search of the perfect piece of fish: a nod to his Jamaican heritage. Henry was a perfect gentleman with nothing but a kind word for everyone he ran across in his daily jaunts. He was truly a part of the fabric of life in Barrett and he will be sorely missed. He is survived by many friends, co-workers, and neighbors in the Pocono area. The Reverend Father Alfred Vito will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 11 at St. Bernadette's Church in Canadensis. Friends may gather from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday at the Bolock Funeral Home, corner of routes 940 and 390 in Paradise Valley.
