Obituary of Edward Sallusto

Edward G. Sallusto, 84, of Long Pond, died Saturday, January 10 at Pocono Medical Center in East Stroudsburg. He was the husband of Catherine (Terra) Sallusto. Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Guistino and Antonia (Starano) Sallusto. Before his retirement, he was a tool and dye maker. A Pocono resident for the past 19 years, Edward was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Church in Pocono Pines. In addition to his wife, Catherine, he is survived by two sons, Kenneth Sallusto and his wife, Mariella of NJ, Craig DeFontes of PA; five daughters, Marie Sallusto of Brooklyn, NY, Diane Angone and her husband, Bill of MD, Denise Fisher of NY, Theresa Smilek of NJ; Janet Timpone and her husband Anthony of NJ; one brother, Eugene Sallusto and his wife, Netta of Long Island, NY; one sister, Blanche Delseni of NY; thirteen grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. There will be a viewing on Tuesday, January 13 from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the Bolock Funeral Home, corner of Routes 940 & 390 in Paradise Valley and on Wednesday, January 14 from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Lake Church in Pocono Pines. The Reverend Father Joseph Kopacz will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at the church. Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m., with Military Honors, at Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in Annville, Pa.
