Obituary of Anna Mulrooney

Anna L. Mulrooney, 82, of Tobyhanna, died Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at Old Orchard Health Care Center in Easton, Pa. She was the wife of the late Thomas Mulrooney. Born in Staten Island, New York, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Theresa (Torio) Minardi. Before her retirement, Anna was employed as a secretary for United Cerebral Palsy in Staten Island. She was a member of the Tannersville Seniors, Pocono Farms Women's Club, and Queen Mum of the Red Hat Society. She attended St. Ann's Church in Tobyhanna. Anna is survived by her son-in-law; Nicholas Zarelli of Tobyhanna, a brother, John Lombardi of California; a sister, Fanny Leonard of Staten Island, NY; and two grandchildren, Thomas and Laura Zarelli of Tobyhanna. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathryn Zarelli in 2003, and a son, Robert Minardi. There will be a viewing on Friday, October 23 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the Bolock Funeral Home, corner of Routes 940 & 390 in Paradise Valley. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 24 at St. Ann's Catholic church in Tobyhanna. Interment will take place on Monday, October 26 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter's Cemetery in Staten Island, N.Y.
