Obituary of Edwin Keesler

Edwin F. Keesler, 86, of Cresco, died Friday, June 8, 2007 at Brookmont Health Care Facility in Effort after a long illness. He was the husband of Constance Keesler to whom he was married for 66 years. Born in Bayone, New Jersey, he was the son of the late Edwin S. and Pearl (Hallran) Keesler. Edwin served in the U.S. Army Air Corp. for three years during World War II. He worked for years at M & M in Hackettstown, New Jersey. He also owned the Brass Castle Store in Brass Castle, New Jersey for six years. He then moved to Florida, where he bought a small motel in Port St. Lucy. After selling the motel, he returned to New Jersey to work as an investigator for the New Jersey Housing Authority until his retirement in 1984. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Dennis E. Keesler of Cresco; grandson, Justin of Cresco, Pa; granddaughter, Michelle of Bangor, Pa; and an adopted grandson, Jonathan of Florida. Cremation service was entrusted to the Bolock Funeral Home Crematory in Paradise Valley, Pa. There will be no services.
