Obituary of John Edgley

John W. Edgley, 75, of Cresco and formerly of Maywood, NJ, died Tuesday, April 21 at Pocono Medical Center in East Stroudsburg, Pa. He was the husband of Lorraine (Thompson) Edgley. Born in Newark, New Jersey, he was the son of the late Thomas and Edith (Carter) Edgley. John was employed as a maintenance supervisor for the Andrew Jergens Corp. in Belleville, NJ for 20 years, and the Montclair Kimberly Academy in Montclair, NJ for 15 years. He was an active member of Keokee Chapel Church where he served on the board. In addition to his wife, Lorraine, he is survived by a son, Kevin Edgley and his wife, Maggie of Burdett, NY; a daughter, Cindy Francisco and her husband Robert of Harrington, NJ; a brother, Hank Edgley of Texas; and a grandson, Robbie Francisco. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Fred and George Edgley. There will be a viewing on Friday, April 24 from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the Bolock Funeral Home, corner of Routes 940 & 390 in Paradise Valley. The Reverend Wayne Pratt will conduct a funeral service on Saturday, April 25 at 11:00 a.m. at Keokee Chapel United Methodist Church in Paradise Valley. Friends may gather from 10:30 to 11:00 at the church. Burial will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 27 at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus, NJ.
