Obituary of Rosemary Petras

Rosemary Petras, 57, of Pocono Lake, died Wednesday, September 28 at Mercy Hospital in Wilkes-Barre. She was the wife of Peter E. Petras. Born in Jamaica, Queens, New York, she was the daughter of John P. and Rose Marie Wind of Sarasota, Florida. Until March of 2005, she was a Tobyhanna Township Zoning Officer for two and a one-half years. Prior to that, she was employed in the telecommunications industry for over twenty-five years. Her employers included NY Telephone, AT&T, Lucent, and Avaya Communications. In addition to her husband, and parents, she is survived by a son, Stephan Petras of New York; two daughters, Jessica Petras of New York, Pamela Petras and her husband, Edward of Philadelphia; two brothers, James Wind and Kevin Wind, both of New York; a sister, Suzanne Wind of Ohio; one grandchild, Hanna Petras and several nieces and nephews. The Reverend Father Raymond Deviney will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, October 3 at Christ the King Church in Blakeslee. Burial will follow at St. Catherine's Cemetery in Moscow. There will be a viewing from 3:00 to 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, October 2 at the Bolock Funeral Home, corner of routes 940 & 390 in Paradise Valley, and at Christ the King Church from 9:00 a.m. Monday, October 3 until the time of service.
