Obituary of Rachel Buss

Rachel Jeanne Buss, 25, of Philadelphia and formerly of Long Pond, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 24, 2009 at home. Born in East Stroudsburg, Pa. she was the only child of James and Rita (Buss) Morris of Long Pond, Pa. A 2002 graduate of Pocono Mountain High School, she was very active with the Girl Scouts and received the Girl Scout Gold Award. She was also a graduate of Northampton County Area Community College where she received an Associate's Degree in travel and tourism. Rachel was very proud to have interned at Disney World. She was currently working as a Nanny for two families in the Philadelphia area. In addition to her parents, James and Rita Morris, she is survived by a maternal grandmother, Ruby Kocher of Effort; a paternal grandmother, Mary Morris of Philadelphia; fiance, Jeff Snyder of Philadelphia; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and a large extended family all of whom loved her very much. There will be a viewing on Friday, March 27 from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the Bolock Funeral Home, corner of Routes 940 & 390 in Paradise Valley. A Memorial Gathering will take place on Saturday, March 28, 2009 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall at Tobyhanna United Methodist Church in Tobyhanna.
