Obituary of Wilma Studenmund

Wilma D. Studenmund, 74, of Pocono Pines, died Saturday, January 17 at the VNA Hospice House of Monroe County in Smithfield Twp. She was the wife of James Friscia. Born in White Plains, NY, she was the daughter of the late Paul E. and Mary D. (Dammann) Noffke. Wilma graduated from Wagner College in Staten Island, NY and from Valparaiso College in Valparaiso, IN. She worked as a registered nurse for the Visiting Nurses Association of Monroe County. Wilma was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Blakeslee. In addition to her husband James, Wilma is survived by two daughters: Denise C. Conley and her husband Randy of Pocono Pines and Heidi A. Pickard of Pocono Pines; two grandchildren: Brandon P. Conley of Pocono Pines and Madison R. Asmund of Pocono Pines; four step children: Richard Studenmund of NC, Paul Studenmund of Hollywood, FL, Mark Studenmund of PA and Wendy Parkany of PA; and several step grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Robert Studenmund. There will be a visitation on Tuesday, January 20 from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm at the Bolock Funeral Home, corner of routes 940 and 390 Paradise Valley and on Wednesday, January 21 from 10:30 am to 11:30 am at the Faith Lutheran Church, Route 940, Blakeslee. The Reverend Wayne Kaufman will conduct a funeral service on Wednesday, January 21 at 11:30 am at the Faith Lutheran Church, Route 940, Blakeslee. Interment will take place at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, Sleepy Hollow, NY on Thursday, January 22 at 11:30 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Faith Lutheran Church, P.O.
