Obituary of Elizabeth Avallone

Elizabeth Marie Avallone Elizabeth Marie Avallone, 88, of Tobyhanna died Saturday, January 30th at Pleasant Valley Manor. She was the wife of the late John Avallone Sr. Born in Portage, Pa. she was the daughter of the late Frank and Catherine (Parzabaa) Latocha. Mrs. Avallone and her husband raised their family in NY. and moved to the Poconos in 1983 after their retirement. She was a member of St Mary of the Mount Church in Mount Pocono. She is survived by a son John Avallone Jr. and his wife Catherine of Champaign Il. three Daughters: Marie Veca, and her husband Giuseppe of Yonkers Ny., Phyllis Caruso of Patterson, NY. and Patricia Avallone of NY. NY. A brother Frank Latocha of Portage, a sister Anna Zone of Garfield Heights, Ohio: 7 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. There will be a viewing on Monday February 1, from 2:00pm to 4:00 pm and from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm at the Bolock Funeral Home, corner of Route 940 and 390, Paradise Valley. The Reverend Father Joseph Kopacz will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, February 2 at 10:00 am at St. Mary of the Mount. 27 Fairview Ave. Mount Pocono. Entombment will follow at the Prospect Cemetery, East Stroudsburg.
