Obituary of Robert Johanson

Robert C. Johanson, 71, of Tobyhanna, died Saturday, April 15 at Pocono Medical Center. He was the husband of Theresa (Kowalski) Johanson. Born in Bronx, New York, he was the son of the late Charles and Katherine (Schotte) Johanson. Robert was employed at the Sweetheart Cup Corporation in Maryland for 25 years. Until his recent illness, he was presently employed at the Tobyhanna Army Depot for the last 2 years. He served in the Korean Conflict as a Navy Seal. In addition to his wife, Theresa, he is survived by a daughter, Francine Johanson of Tobyhanna; brother-in-law, Walter Kowalski and his wife, Karren of Castle Rock, Colorado; two nephews, Kyle Kowalski and his wife, Amy of Aurora, Colorado and Devin Kowalski of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. There will be a viewing from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Bolock Funeral Home, corner of routes 940 & 390 in Paradise Valley, with a funeral service conducted by Reverend John Charnock at 8:00 p.m. Cremation will follow the services.
